Meet Steve

Steve, a lifetime entrepreneur, comes to Heritage Wealth Management Group after reaching the pinnacle of a successful career in business, poised to direct the financial affairs of HWMG as it embarks on its growth and expansion plan.

His financial literacy curriculum is now being made available by Global Tel Link, the national leader in correctional facilities education, to returning citizens across the country.  He is the Founder/Executive Director of Right Thinking Foundation, a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization which fights recidivism by teaching individuals how to reach goals in life by understanding how money works in their lives.

Bringing together two of his great passions, people and business, Steve started Coplon Development Company to build communities where people could enjoy life and their neighbors.

As President of the Spirit of Norfolk Dinner Boat organization, he delivered a product that people enjoyed. He understands what people want and delivers it.

With his partners, Steve spearheaded the revitalization of Taylors Landing Marine Center, one of the anchor companies involved in the rebirth of Norfolk’s Ocean View area. As a member of the Mayor’s Taskforce for Ocean View, he created a quality product that was enthusiastically received.

As an accountant, Steve has had his own practice and worked as a financial counselor with the Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads for over fifteen years, helping people achieve financial security for their businesses and their families. In 2008, Steve was honored by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce with the TowneBank Award for Small Business Achievement, “for exceptional dedication to advancing the region’s economy through entrepreneurship and achievement.”
