Meet Rhett

Rhett started his Financial Services career as an Advisor with Prudential Financial in 2006 and has held multiple senior-level roles within the industry since that time. In 2009, he was promoted to management to build a team of Financial Advisors, focused on serving clients with the highest standard of professionalism. Under Rhett’s leadership, his team consistently placed among the top ranks in per capita performance. He placed a heavy emphasis on running client meetings with his associates, averaging over 500 client appointments per year. Three of his advisors achieved M.D.R.T. or ‘Million Dollar Round Table’ recognition, and many others continue to experience long-term success in their practice.

In 2015, Rhett was hired on as Senior Financial Advisor for ‘The National Advice Center’, a start-up division within Capital One Investing. During his time there, he was awarded for his efforts involving various projects and initiatives; including his contribution toward the development of a proprietary managed investment platform, his material participation in a pilot program to establish client-facing video conference capabilities, and his role in developing and hosting interactive retirement planning workshops. While involved in these, and a number of other comparable initiatives, Rhett continued to place a top priority on listening to his advisory clients and fully advocating for them.

Fortunately for HWMG, one of those clients referred Rhett to Heritage Wealth Management Group, and he joined the firm in August of 2019. He cited the character, values, and principles of the team as the determining factors in his decision.

Rhett earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in 2004. He also holds designations as Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Always striving to add value to clients and other advisors throughout his career, he has developed key areas of expertise in management, financial planning, investment and risk management, coaching and training, technology, and operations.

Outside of his favorite time being spent with his wife and three young children, Rhett enjoys reading and lifting weights. He currently lives in Newark, DE and he maintains an avid enthusiasm of history, economics, and the financial markets.
